For Adults Only

Hi... I've tagged this Sam Swatt toon "For Adults Only" although there is nothing pornographic about it.

My reason is to save those of you who are under forty years of age from viewing something that you will not appreciate, because you won't understand it.

This toon will be enjoyed (hopefully!) by old-timers who will "connect" with the vibes of this toon. I'm calling it "The Case of the Fumbled Falcon," and that in itself may serve as a clue, for you adults but not for you snot-nosed little kids under the age of 40.

One more thing: This cartoon has NO COLOR. As you know, I have lately been colorizing some of my old black & white cartoons and posting them here. But not this time. This is my "take" on some of the black & white film classics of the past, therefore color would be out of place here.

funny, but as I looked at these first 2 panels, It seemed to me that there were some familiar faces in them . of course, I already have this toon in my collection and Icouldn't resist reading the rest of it, just to jog my memory, and I noticed other familiar faces in there..........but I won't comment on that so I don't spoil it for everyone else .

I agree that color would be out of place here and I think these first 2 panels look just right with no further enhancements . As always, I enjoy all the detail that you put in your drawings. It adds so much to the drawings. I'll also say that I think everyone is going to enjoy the story as well as the drawings . Thanks for sharing these with us and I'll be looking forward to the rest of the toon. Phil

I believe I've seen this one somewhere before. Maybe you posted it on Arild's old Yahoo group.

Adult indeed! I'm in my 60s and The Maltese Falcon is even before my time. However, my father was an avid fan of the Film Noir genre, and so we watched a lot of those movies together.

Dashiell Hammett wrote the novel that the movie was based on, and there were three film versions of his story. The third one, starring Humphrey Bogart was by far the most successful. Your caricatures of Sidney Greenstreet and Peter Lorre as the shady art collectors is spot on.

And then you introduce another character: Nora. Hmmm... Are we seeing someone from a different Dashiell Hammett novel? She looks a bit like Myrna Loy... AND, since this is, after all a Sam Swatt story, I don't think anyone would accuse me of throwing in a spoiler if I say she's likely to receive a similar treatment to what Nora Charles got in The Thin Man Goes Home!

I love this story, and agree that it needs to remain black and white.

Yes Sam Swatt is a fine spanking detective. I do love his stories. Although I like all of your creations Captain Woodshed; Spanky Sal; and Miss Johnson. I do enjoy Sam's methods of getting to the bottom of the problem. Great story so far and cannot wait to see more. Have a great day.

First, Dan, I am very pleased that you've started a new Sam Swatt feature for our delectation, The Case of the Fumbled Falcon. I couldn't get to it before now because my time is that short - keeping the lights on here and over at the main site is quite a bit to handle by itself - and simply can't always catch the new posts here.

Anyway, back to the story: of course I recognize The Maltese Falcon and your caricatures of Sydney Greenstreet and Peter Lorre. Having Sam Swatt take the place of Sam Spade is a very clever idea - it's funny even before we've seen any spanking ! And I certainly agree that it should be done in black & white, color fan that I am.

Now, as to being "locked out" - I will check to see if you've sent me any notes about this (again, I can't check my boxes every day due to the press of business), but since you were able to make the post, it looks like your problem is with your computer or perhaps Image Titan.

hi Dan,

I love Sam's disconnected expression as Nora almost has him defeated .......not to mention the view of her thighs that her dress provides:lol: . His clothes are all rumbled, his hat has fallen off and Nora has a knowing smile on her face thinking that she has him! . But then our hero breaks out of her spell and is almost like the incredible Hulk as he recovers, popping the buttons off her shirt . I love the way her expression changes too as she realizes she has failed and is now in trouble . In the next panel, we see just what trouble she's in . Our hero is now fully recovered and determined to see that justice is served. Nora's dastardly plot is exposed, along with everything from her waist down, as he delivers that justice to the her naughty bottom . It's a great view of justice triumphing............as well as her bottom, and there are those thighs again Again, I like the expressions...........the confidence of our hero and the worry on Nora's face . It's good to see the second part of this cartoon again. I remember you used to have it posted on Arild's old Yahoo group. I think your idea to re-post it here, still in its original black-and-white is the right one. Some great Film Noir classics do no need to be colorized.

Of course, my favorite panel is the one that shows Nora in the OTK position! I love seeing a nicely-rounded "bum" propped up and ready to spank!

Let me take a moment here, to offer a heartfelt hallelujah to all our Christian friends. Tomorrow (maybe today, in some corners of the world) is Easter Sunday, the greatest celebration in the Christian faith. We celebrate Easter as the anniversary of Jesus' resurrection from the dead, and/or by painting Easter eggs and organizing egg hunts for the children. I wish for all our friends the happiest holiday ever.

For our Jewish friends: the Passover is usually celebrated within the orbit of Easter Sunday, but this year Passover doesn't begin until Saturday, April 23. Our wish for happiness and joy to all includes those who celebrate Passover, when the Jewish people remember the liberation of the Israelites from slavery and their exodus from Egypt.

hi Dan,

I enjoyed seeing this story again ! After all, what's not to like . There's out naughty Nora, face down with the seat of her cute panties waving around while our hero spanks her like a naughty, little girl . I liked the single tear on her face.......it goes perfectly with her expression of pain and regret.....and she's already apologizing and begging him to stop . i also like the waitress and her customer, who are apparently just watching and wondering how this all came about. I have to wonder what's really going through their minds as they watch Sam warming the seat of Nora's panties .

In the next panel, we have a great view of our hero delivering the final swat as Nora blubbers out her contrition . I love it that Sam questions her before letting her up, just to make sure she's really sorry and won't do it again . It's also a nice view of Nora rubbing her well spanked bottom as she talks to Sam about spanking her so hard. Again, I think the single tear running down her face is a nice touch . And, of course, there could be no more perfect ending than Bogey telling him to "play it again, Sam" . thanks for sharing this with us. Phil
