Paternal spankings, common as they are in real life, were bound to provide a lot of grist for the spanking cartoonist's mill even though they aren't too popular around CSR as compared to, say, a M/F scene in which the participants are, or will shortly become, lovers. The specific gags vary a bit as we'll be seeing in the future with other examples from Humorama's rivals, but here we have one of the main sub-genres which features a grown-up young woman being spanked as if she were still a girl. Now, if the paternal figure simply fails or refuses to recognize she's grown up, or thinks bad girls of whatever age deserve to be spanked, it's mildly amusing, but if he's spanking the spankee because he enjoys spanking grown women as much as we do, there could be a problem. Paternal spankings must be purely disciplinary for them to be innocent.

Is that the case here? The artist is someone whose signature appears to be "Ahsin," and such is his skill with expressions that we really can't be certain. Uncle Mort appears very satisfied, but his niece has a decidedly bratty look on her face so his satisfaction could have arisen from seeing that justice was done. CSR readers will have to decide for themselves.

The OTK position is good and, due to the nature of paternal spankings, the cartoon's overall effect is more humorous than erotic. The publication in which it first appeared is unknown. It was discovered by Andre at SPK.
