Chicago Spanking Review

On Moonlight Bay

a good healthy spank is applied to doris day's seat

We think this scene from the 1951 movie On Moonlight Bay should be better known among spankophiles, mainly for Doris Day's reaction to Gordon MacRae whacking her bottom. The plot is fairly routine - tomboyish girl has romance with unconventional boy across the street - but it seems to have been fairly well done and there's a nice build-up to the spanking. Two boys find a loaded revolver (that's unpardonably careless of someone but played for laughs here) and Doris, wearing a baseball uniform, finds them. Unfortunately, she's no more competent with firearms than they are and manages an accidental (i.e. negligent) discharge, which unrealistically blows a barn door off its hinges and right onto Gordon's back.

Well sir, there's only one way to teach these young'uns not to fool around with guns, and that's a good seat-warming! Now, the scene is somewhat diminished by the fact that Gordon thinks Doris is a boy (it's that baseball uniform she's wearing), but the main thing is that since she's the one holding the gun, she's also the one who gets spanked!

Without a chair, a true OTK position is not possible, but the staging is pretty good here with Doris being bent over Gordon's bent leg she's almost touching her toes!

Now let's savor the expression on her face: she's looking up at him with respect and admiration for spanking her! This would be a fine way for him to introduce himself to her, but we don't know if this scene takes place that early in the story. We do know that one swat was featured in the movie's trailer and that this was one of Doris's favorites among her many films. wink
